AEG Washing Machine Error Codes

If your AEG washing machine stops working, or displays an error code, sound or light sequence that you have never seen before, it can be difficult to understand whether your appliance needs an engineer to be called out, or if there is a simple fix. Fault Description
C9
Indicates an imbalance during a spin cycle.
F9
Indicates an imbalance during a spin cycle.
E10
Indicates problems with taking in water, not taken in enough water or problems with the drain.
E11
Indicates problems with taking in water, not taken in enough water or problems with the drain.
C1
Indicates problems with taking in water, not taken in enough water or problems with the drain.
E30
The error is caused by water at the bottom or inside the machine.
C3
The error is caused by water at the bottom or inside the machine.
E40
The appliance door / lid is open or not closed correctly, the appliance is overloaded, the door lock is faulty.
E41
The appliance door / lid is open or not closed correctly, the appliance is overloaded, the door lock is faulty.
E60 (or any code beginning with E6)
It generally refers to a heating problem with the machine.
E80 or emits 8 flashes
Indicates that the cycle selector was set incorrectly, or the washing machine possibly started with the cycle selector set halfway between two wash cycles.
E90, E91, E92, E93 or E94
It indicates configuration / communication problems with the electronic parts.
EAO
Error message EA0 indicates DPS (Drum Position Sensor) fault.
EA0
Error message EA0 indicates DPS (Drum Position Sensor) fault.
Eb0
It may indicate problems with the too low voltage of the power supply.
Ebo
It may indicate problems with the too low voltage of the power supply.
EF0, EFo, EF3
Use less detergent.
EHO / EH0
Indicates a problem with the power supply.
EH1
Frequency of power supply out of range.
EH2
Supply voltage too high.
EH3
Supply voltage too low.
E20
Indicates pumping problems. Washing machine does not drain, the drum does not turn, the appliance makes an unusual noise because of the blockage of the drain pump.
E21
Indicates pumping problems. Washing machine does not drain, the drum does not turn, the appliance makes an unusual noise because of the blockage of the drain pump.
C2
Indicates pumping problems. Washing machine does not drain, the drum does not turn, the appliance makes an unusual noise because of the blockage of the drain pump.
